Issues within Music and Media
I am highly interested the use and functionality of how music interacts with mass media and its implications through culture and sociological contribution. Although my intended DMA Project concerns Cartoon music, I would also be interested in examining the procedure and use of sound in Studio Orchestras/Film Music. Such issues could involve Musical Collaboration, Intellectual Property, and Agency.
My methodology would include readings from not only our course but extended to what Dr. Harvey and/or Dr. Platte would recommend on the subject.
Submission format would be written paper, and class presentation would be mixed media presentation.

There are so many things here for you to choose from! I think this will be clearer as you choose specific films or shows and can focus your scope on the groups that are attracted to that. Like old school Micky mouse cartoons vs Studio Ghibli. You could even compare the fan bases an how the companies "treat" their fans like it was discussed in the Burkhart.
